I get a lot of what this show makes fun of and I am a huge fan. What I didnt like was I saw the beginning of a recent episode where Peter had killed one of his own kids by shaking it too much and it died. Then he cracks a joke about how the kid isn't crying anymore so tech.. it worked. This is one of the only times in my life that ME of all people actually shook my head and couldn't believe what I had just seen and heard. Do you guys seriously think that was funny in any way? Maybe because I have a 2 moth old daughter I might be a little sensative about that subject right now but still, I think that was the first time you have truely crossed the line from funny to completely wreckless!

I groaned a bit over that scene too, but told myself it was just a cartoon. It wasn't any worse that Peter making a joke about post-partum depression with Stewie in 'It takes a villiage idiot...' or putting down slow greyhounds with Brian.

Thank you. I am 32, and love family guy of course mostly for their 80's references. But I am also the mother of a 12 year old boy who is a victim of shaken baby syndrome. My healthy 5 month old is now in a wheelchair, has a feeding tube and so much more that McFarlane needs to know about. I just wanted to thank you for your comment, and support for us out there who live that life. that was just truly an appalling thing to see. They push the envelope, but that was just too much.

Look at it as a Public Service Announcement...'Don't do this or THIS could happen'. Consider it a buy-back from when Stewie was teething in 'Mind over Murder'. "Shake me, shake me like a brittish nanny!"

there are disclamers to warn ppl that this show is offensive so some viewers.

I am in full agreement. That crossed a serious line and I hope they plan on doing something about it.

It is not about being oversensitive. I is about being inappropriate.  I love Family Guy and I do not get offended easily, but this is one of maybe 2 or 3 times that Family Guy has gone too far. No show is perfect, just admit that this was one of those times and learn from it.

When I saw those 2 or 3 times I just turned the channel. I don't agree with censorship, just common sense and respect.  Being able to laugh at yourself is one thing, but think about it the next time you want to portray something like murdering a baby as funny.
