As you may or may not know, Lie to Me just picked up 3 more episodes this season - on the one hand, awesome that we're getting 3 more shows to add to the short order of 13!!! On the other hand, some of us are wondering if that signals lack of confidence on Fox's part. Most fans feel the show deserves the full back 9, not just 3 additional.

I saw via lietomescoop (*the absolute best* LTM news source there is!) that EW columnist Ken Tucker has written an article about this topic and put out a call to action of sorts for fans to make their voices heard. In his words, the show "...needs more of a vote of confidence from its network. And from you.”

So that being said, if you'd like to see Lie to Me renewed for a 3rd season and beyond, PLEASE take a moment and post a positive comment here. Also, if you're on T w i t t e r, please retweet this message to get the word out even further.

Let's really rally behind Lie to Me and show Fox just how much we fans love and want this brilliant show to have a good, long run!!! Your help is greatly appreciated (and necessary!). :D

I couldn't agree more @3rdrocker and I for one am totally hooked on and LOVE Lie To Me!!!  Ordering 3 more episodes is better than no reorder but a full back 9 would be AWESOME! I for one am remaining positive that if the ratings get stronger and they like what they see with the 3 new scripts then there is a chance that 6 more will be ordered and a better chance that we will get a 3rd season! I'm no expert but it seems to me that the higher the ratings, the more revenue $$ generated for Fox, If the current viewers (approx 7-8 million) convince 1 person each to watch LTM, then the numbers would double. I've gotten at least 8 people at work to watch LTM so let's help promote the show by getting more people to watch and become "LieHards"!!!

@3rdrocker: As always, thanks for the shout out. :)  I won't bore anyone with more of my thoughts on the 3 vs 9, seeing as I already did so on the blog. But, I'm glad you posted this here as well.  What I will say is that @newfan01 brings up a good point about the stats.  I've stated it before, but I really think that word-of-mouth will prove to be a big thing for LTM, especially considering some people may not have tuned in since S1.

As for ratings getting better: Honestly, I think there's room for a little improvement, but at least for non-DVR viewing, I don't think there's a huge amount of room to grow unless the other shows suddenly experience a decline.  It airs at the same time as a couple other major shows: DWTS, TBBT, etc.  So, it's a bit of a tough time slot.  If they could keep at 3 or above, that would probably help.  But, I'm no expert in these things, so who knows?

On a side note, it looks like Fox added the article to the Lie to Me FB page. :)

Jennifer Beals can save lie to me.  Make JB a regular!!  Without her, the show won't make it.

I dont understand what the problem is. Its the best show in the world!!! never mind a third season, it should run year round. I mean between "House" and "Lie To Me", I'm in HEAVEN!!!! i dont need anything else. FOX, get your head above ground.

I cannot believe they would even think of canceling such a fantastic show!! It's the one show my teens and I enjoy watching together, we have not missed an episode and we all just LOVE it. Intelligent script/story lines, great cast and superior acting. What more could you ask for??!! I'm going to Twitter & FB this - we would all be truly devastated if it was cancelled! :o( Will get my teens to FB as well - Lie To Me MUST be saved!!

      This is such a good show!!!  Why would they limit the number of episodes that are on?  They should show more episodes of Lie to Me than any other show, most other shows are crap.  It is definitely the most exciting show on right now!!  They should be featuring this series because its dramatic, intelligent, and it tells us stuff we didn't know about people.  Lie to Me has a great cast, Tim Roth is so fun to watch, and the way the characters are developing is extremely interesting.  I'm always excited to see what's going to happen next, if Idon't get to keep watching this show I will every mad!  It would be very stupid of the network to cancel this show!  Don't do it!!  

i RT'd the Ken Tucker review tweet and posted on the EW site. Lie to Me is the Best show on TV hands down! This show and House are the only two I watch on FOX and I desperately hope they don't cancel it. It's kind of amazing what they've done with 17 episodes. I've never downloaded a TV show from iTunes, but I downloaded Honey because I HAD to have it. It's just a great show and so much fun to watch.

Lie to me is an excellent show!!!! There is no other show on tv like this and if fox gives it the ax I am going to be EXTREMELY upset!!!!!!! How can you possibly get rid of a show like this but yet Hell's Kitchen is still on!!!!!!!!! It doesn't make any sense to me that a show as good as this one would get the ax but yet show's like hell's kitchen stay on the air.

 

Fox you will be making a huge mistake if you cancel Lie to me!!!!!!!! Please save Lie to me!!!!!!!!!
