Thursday, December 18, 2008I watchd the show for the 2nd time tonite and it was the episode with the multi millionaire Greg  who went to Las Vegas. I thought he had good intentions but he could of spread his wealth around alot more than he did. Ylanda who was running the food bank  out of her home, the $30,000.00 he gave her was probably like 30 cents to Greg.It would be a tax write off for him and the homeless girl who was lookin for a job on the computer at the teen centre. what happened to her? Shes on the street, Greg didnt even help her out, and the Ladies at the teen centre Lisa and Marsha, why didnt he buy them a  building and set them up with new furniture and new clothes  for the kids and also give food the need is definitely there for sure, and they help so many kids every day, ages 12 -21 I know he gave them one hundred thousand but think of all that those ladies need to keep the centre goin for the kids. A new building how much will that cost To get it started and  set up for the kids its there home so many are homeless its so sad , and the twenty thousand for the boy in the wheel chair. What was he suppose to do with it? thats a drop in the bucket to make his dreams come true makin wheel chairs for kids. ITs so sad because he could of easily given twice the amount of money he gave and helped a few more people out in need. And why did he have to say to the people im a multi-millionaire whay couldnt he of just said he wanted to apread his good fortune around where he sees the need . God sees all and i believe he will be blessed so much.I love the show and it always brings me to tears because I know what its like to be poor my family and I have been thru many trials and tribulations we have also been homeless in the past and I know what its like for a total stranger to help someone in dire need it truely is a blessing.I have four kids and have experienced alot in my lifetime and am still struggling you wonder when life ever gets better. Keep up the good work look forward to your next episodes it feels so good to see so many people happy and so deserving of getting help from the millionaires.

I watched the Las Vegas show and it was awesome. The only thing I was concerned about is whether or not the money is really being used for what it was given for. Were these people checked out 1st. I hope so as there are lots of big talkers but few doers. The Lord never tells us to trust others only to love them. As for the amount this millionaire gave I agree it is a drop in the bucket for him but it is a start. Once God plants the seed of giving in a person it continues to grow over time. If this man was truly touched by the poverty he saw than he will continue giving more and more. It is contagious. I pary more financially blessed people will view the=is show and be stirred inside to do more to help others rather than collecting fancy homes and cars and other toys. If we all were to give even in spite of our own financial struggles the world would be a much better place. Too many of us focus on material stuff. There is nothing wrong with having comforts but when we go overboard and it begins to possess us than we have stepped over into the world of greed and selfishness. We need to be more compassionate toward others and be wiiling to serve in whatever way we can whether it is through finances or time etc. God Bless

December 18, 2008 episode

Watching this show usually brings tears to my eyes, however, this episode REALLY disappointed me. The words out of this millionaires mouth were (he) deserved everything he has.. even bragged about nannies (he) has had... an the complaining about the rooming (with bugs) I did not feel the usual earnest I feel with this show. Obviously I do not have the money to help as many people as (he) has but if someone needs my help I'm there..I'm DISAPPOINTED !!!! Does anyone have a contact number for FOX?? OR EVEN BETTER THE SHOW "THE VIEW"???? I am happy for the people that were helped tonight but as I said was saddened for this millionaire to get back to the life of luxury that (he) feels (he) deserves I think (he) needs help himself. Merry Christmas..I wish all the best in these hard times of our lives..

I thought it was great that he helped those people but what about the guy who gave him a room for no money?  yeah he had to work it off but the guy gave him a chance.  sometimes that is the hardest thing to get is someone to give you a chance.  what did that guy get?  NADA.  I thought that was BS

What I am disappointed in is the comments made here.  What Greg did was so wonderful.  How can anyone in good conscience rip it apart in any way, shape or form?  The gifts he gave made these three people so extremely happy, but for some reason, it does not make some of YOU happy and I do not understand that.  What Greg did was very stand up to me.  I think it takes a wonderful human being to have done what he did.  Aside from that, you have no idea what he might do outside of the show.  Enough with the attacks on him.  How rude is that?

I saw the "secret millionaire" show for the first time tonight.  Honestly, I couldn't help but cry and think this is one of the best shows on television.  I know many people have negative things to say about the millionaires and what they should have done and/ or how they should have done it.  Nevertheless, I am grateful to see positive giving shows on television especially in this current society and economy.  I only wish something like that would happen for our church that needs so much work.  So God bless the millionaires that are giving and please allow God to continue to use you to have compassion for the lives of others.  I give this show 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!

Grace and Peace

I read some of the post that were put up after the Las Vegas episode.  In all fairness to Greg, we do not know the guidelines of the show.  I think that the money he was able to give was a tremendous gift and what a gift to have the wealth and be able to share it at all.  I would hope that he would take the opportunity to follow up and possibly help the people that he met.  Perhaps he could use his business contacts to help the teen shelter secure a new building and also he could take the time to help Aaron with a business plan in order to get his Hardcore Sitting Wheelchair business up and running to ensure it's success.  The $30,000 that he gave to Ylanda is going to go to good use but perhaps she could use some additional volunteer help to continue on with her goals of helping others and maybe put her in contact with some businesses that will help sponsor some of her efforts by making donations for food and clothing.  Corporate businesses are out there and with a little encouragement from someone like Greg I think they would be willing to help good person like Ylanda.  Greg could help her with that.  I think that there is only so much you can show in an hour long show so maybe there is more going on behind the scenes once the show is over.  As far as the big reveal all of the millionaires announce that they are multi-millionaires I think that must be the standard required line of the show.

I am inspired by this show and the people that have I have seen on both ends the givers and the receivers.  I would love to see more about how the money was used and if the people actually stayed humble and followed up by visiting and staying active participants with the people that they initially helped.

Hope and good will are out there and that is truly a blessing to see love and compassion for all people.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who picked up on the smuggness of this guy.   He was really a turn off.  He was just looking for attention I believe.  If Fox is looking for this show to continue we need to be able to believe in what the the millionaire is doing, and that it is being done for all the the right reasons.

Screen your millionaires better Fox, tonight seemed like an actor was playing the part of the Millionaire.  And a bad one at that (mugged the camera).

How sad.. First time I watched the show.  The Las Vegas show.. He gave $150,00.  That is like me putting 5 dollars in the kettle of the bell ringers.
It almost leaves me speechless  ... however...

College for the wheel chair kid?   A fabulous new center for the teens, with some job training?  The food center ?-- who knows -- maybe a free and clear mortgage and a new van for delivery..
The motel that gave him refuge.?  Perhaps the start of a center for new beginnings..

I am appalled.
